…to a complete overhaul to this home in Katonah, NY. See our next post for the incredible “in progress” shot.
On this kitchen renovation we expanded and took down a bearing exterior wall. Instead of a flush header across the span of kitchen where the wall used to be, the client chose to save thousands of dollars by using a support post instead. Who says you can’t make a support post beautiful? Our clever designer placed it perfectly to work in coordination with our client’s island cabinetry.

“As the spring has emerged, we finally have found the time to express our gratitude for the outstanding workmanship from New Dimensions and our delight with our new home. Indeed, living through construction is never easy and any project is likely to present some obstacles, but in the end, the finished product was worth the small inconveniences and frustrations that we may have experienced during the build. We have a beautiful home that is comfortable and suitable to our needs. We want to thank Alain for his patience and thoughtful design that kept us on budget and met our needs as a family. Perhaps most importantly, we are incredibly thankful of Tony’s work. As I am sure many of your prior customers have shared, he is outstanding, and it was apparent from the beginning that we had a master tradesman who was responsible for the majority of our new construction. Tom, as our project manager, was responsive to our questions and needs, and Chris’s careful attention to detail ensured finished walls that were truly perfect.
Now that our walls are painted, furniture has been purchased and the weather has warmed, we have increasingly enjoyed our time together as a family in our new home. Our master bedroom, along with the newly constructed master bath, is our sanctuary, and the enlarged family room has allowed us to comfortably relax as a family. The addition looks original to the house—both inside and out, and as a result, the original character and charm of a 1929 house remained intact. We have received numerous compliments from friends and neighbors, and we would certainly encourage anyone considering an addition to contact New Dimensions.”
